So it is a weekday and you've just had a bleeding loooooong day, and you feel all tied up.
Your boss fed work to you while flirting around with the new pretty good looking intern that you have the hots for, and when you finally have the guts to say hi, the new intern asks you if the regional manager is available. Frustrated, you go to the pantry to get a milkshake. Only to find that the pantry had been empty for the past 3 days, even the cookies you brought had been devoured. Feeling disgruntled, you walk back to your chair and notice a new pile of work placed on your desk by your colleague with a note saying she has to go out early. Most probably out dating with the ex that dumped you 2 weeks ago. You carry your work out to the car thinking you could go home and finish it, then you notice you forgot to turn off the lights when u came in in a rush this morning. So your work's piled up, love life's screwed, boss is flirty and flighty with work, car's dead and you're left wondering what to do.
Well maybe not all of us actually have a work life that's that frantic, and yet there are times where we would just loooooove to pamper ourselves. One awesome way to unwind after a ballistic day like that is to call up the gang/girls(whichever your gender) and go have some good food! :)
Now that brings us to the place that would be on our introduction list today, Strawberry Fields Cafe :)
Now, they are rather humble on their naming on the menu. You will not find fancy names such as 'Flaming Shepherd's Chop' or 'Angler's Bite', in fact their best item is simply called ' banana chocolate milkshake'.
Having simple and easy names on the menu makes it easier on the brain when making choices, especially when they have about 100+ choices for you. I wonder how the chefs keep up.
Their choices also span a wide variety of cooking, they have Thai, Local, Western and even some Fusion cuisine for you to choose from.
Everything found in the restaurant is Pork & alcohol Free so my Muslim friends can rest easy when dining :)
they also have a wide selection of beverages, and on the list of beverages the best i had was their Banana Chocolate Milkshake!! :) Lovely stuff, its always easy to unwind when you have a cold sweet milkshake in your hand and friends to gripe to or joke around with :)
The easy atmosphere in Strawberry Fields Cafe allows for really easy conversation, and the staff are pleasant, they have clean toilets :) (Very important I tell you!) good finger foods, and most importantly smooth, cold, sweet, choco banana milkshake...
As it stood, my mates were running on late and I was starting to get hungry. My choco banana milkshake was running low on supplies. So I ordered a main course which had rice, in an effort to stem my hunger pangs. Hunger and stress is an annoying combo, thus I asked that my order be made extra fast. Much to my surprise the waiter obliged, and within 8 minutes my food was ready. The order placed was for Black Pepper Chicken with Rice, and before I could finish the sweet, smooth choco banana milk shake, the thick, spicy and strong aroma of peppered chicken filled the air. It made my mouth water, and when the plate was placed onto the table, surprise fought with hunger for my attention. For the rice was made into a SQUARE!!!
In the end hunger won, and I started down on my black pepper chicken rice. Halfway through it my friends arrived and we ordered another round of choco banana milkshake.
An interesting fact was that by the end of it all, with 7 choco banana milkshakes and 3 rice dishes. Our bill's total came up to the 90's region only and had yet to hit 100 RM.This should say something about the affordability of the restaurant. The smoothness of the milkshakes, and the intriguing square rice servings, plus the easy going ambiance of the place, makes it a highly recommended food joint for foodies and people looking for a place to pamper themselves after a hard day's work :)
A link to the place is provided at the bottom hopefully with this, my readers would forgive me for the long awaited new post :)

Please add this cafe in the "to-go" list when I come back next time. We didn't really go out to eat much last time. =)
