ok guys, i'm very sorry for the looooooong absence since my last posts..
thats because i was busy preparing stuff for a few recipes that i made for a large dinner the other night...

as u can see from this picture the main of the night was the Fish and Mash
which was followed up by a large serving of salad

and then ended with an equally large helping of chocolate fudge which i'm sad to say was not included in the pictures :P(due to being finished before my camera could arrive :P)
warning these recipes can get slightly messy so having an extra set of hands helps
i had help from my mom and aunt throughout this preparation so a shout of acknowledgment and thanks to them for helping me out with this
it was thanks to them that i managed to finish all this in 1 hour

here are the recipes for the Fish and Mash

Fish and Mash:
ingredients:
500g of kentucky flour
2 large eggs
breadcrumbs (optional)
mash potatoes (refer to previous recipe)
2 lemons (for the juices and the grated skin goes into the salad later)
salt, pepper and worchester sauce to taste
and 6 pieces of Dory fish fillets

instructions:
  1. first wash the fish and let them soak in lemon juice, salt them slightly(the fish will turn out very salty if u salt them thoroughly because of the kentucky flour)
  2. while the fish is soaking in lemon juice fill a bowl with the flour, pepper and breadcrumbs
  3. beat the eggs and put them in another bowl
  4. heat up the pan and put in enough oil to cover most of the pan(u wanna avoid the flour sticking to the pan)
  5. put 1 of the fish fillets into the egg bowl and when its covered with eggs coat it with flour
  6. put the coated fish to fry till golden brown on both sides(getting the fish to be fully cooked here can get slightly tricky the trick would be to stab it with a chopstick in the middle or to cut it into small easier to fry pieces)
  7. repeat steps 5-6 till you've fried all the fish fillets
Garden Salad:
(
salads are very versatile and i've found that the best salads arre the ones that suit your tastes so this is just an example do try and be creative with urs :) )
ingredients:
2 green bell peppers
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
4 eggs(hard boiled)
grated lemon skin from the above recipe
200g fried ham chips
1 head of lettuce
Italian low fat salad sauce to taste
raisins for a bit of sweetness
instructions:
toss everything in a salad bowl and its up for serving :)

that was a gastronomically delightful dinner for sure :)
of course the clean up after that was notorious :P
alritez.. i gotta split time to cook up the next meal
