ok so after my introductory speech and watching the polls grow for a little while..
they seem now to be tied between good recipe & good place to eat
so for sake of pleasing you all
i've come up with a photo, albeit not so tasty looking
of my latest recipe..
original recipe maker is unknown but this is my variant to the Eggy basket recipe
so enjoy the recipe and do rate it on my comments once u've tried it :)
Recipe:(serves 8 baskets)
ingredients : 4 eggs, ham chips(pork, beef, or chicken strips would also do), butter(optional), mayonnaise(optional), olive oil, cinnamon powder(only for pork based meats)
instructions:
1. put the eggs to boiling water for about 15 mins or till they are hard boiled...
2. fry the ham chips(or other meats if u prefer) in olive oil till slightly crispy..
3. cut open the hard boiled eggs in half at the egg yolks, try to keep the egg yolk balanced on both left and right..
4. using a teaspoon gently remove the hard boiled egg yolks frm the egg whites and place them in a bowl
5. put the ham chips into the bowl with half a teaspoon of butter(optional), a dash of pepper, cinammon powder, and 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise.
6. mix the ingredients in the bowl till even and scoop them into the cavity in the egg whites.
7. served on its own as a scrumptious snack or in a salad :) enjoy
p/s: ssorry bout the photo being out of focus.. need a better camera :P
the original idea of this is the devilled egg. hard boiled egg cut in half and served with a dollop of mashed yolk+mayo, then topped with anything thats small enough to place on top of the yolk.
nice touch to the oriental version~!
cool..
i forgot the original recipe cos i havent used it in ages..
needed 1 that was sans mayo..
so this is the localized version :P
