I've just found out that brown sauce tastes awkward without anything good to go with it...

Ok, I know its been ages since i posted here and to all of you who have been reading still, I offer my thanks and deep gratitude..
(I know of at least one who still reads my blog)
As most of you who know me would know, I have opened up my own Game Shop and its been taking up most of my Daylight and Moonlight time.
Its even gotten me to leave my girlfriend, but that's a story for another time.
At any rate, thanks to the shop taking up so much of my time I've decided to bring some of the guys out for a meal at a joint that I was newly introduced to at Aman Suria.
The name of the place was Rosemary Bites.

It was a place that pride itself on having home secret recipes, and authentic American cuisine. Oh and it was Halal too, which allowed all of us to enjoy the meal with a peace of mind.
So we sat down and looked around, the decor was very warm and the setting was quite cosy. The table arrangement however, leaves much space unoccupied and was rather scattered. Also decorative items jutting out from the walls were things to consider while sitting down to have a meal.
The toilets were clean and well marked, and they had alot of things for you to read. Between reading the chalkboards on the wall, the signs out the front, the 3-page menu seemed very bare and sparse on details. To some it might be underwhelming to see such a sparse menu, but I like the fact that it got the job done without too much bells and whistles. So me and the group sat down and ordered Fish and Chips, apparently it seemed appropriate that an American Diner should serve good Fish and Chips which caused 3 out of the 4 of us to order the same dish.

The only other food order we placed was that of a Rosemary Roasted Chicken, which made all of us stare at him for being the odd one out but we laughed at each other after that for our synchronicity.
The drinks however were nothing to shout about, just the usual teas and lemonade and colas.
Here's pictures of the food with the Rosemary Roasted Chicken on the left and Fish and Chips on the right
Now then, the food review.
The Fish and Chips has a lot of batter, making it chalky and less juicy. The juices from the fish had very little flavor but the sauce was very interesting. It had mayonnaise and wasabi paste flavors.
But the chips were awesome though, yet the dish as a whole was underwhelming.

The Rosemary Roasted Chicken smelled awesome when it first arrived, giving us the impression that it was a lot better. However according to the Guy who ordered it, it tasted like Cafeteria food.

The Verdict: The place is awesome, price is decent, but the food quality tastes like cafeteria food. Recommended if you need a fix for American cuisine, but not if you're trying to impress someone with good food :)

So it is a weekday and you've just had a bleeding loooooong day, and you feel all tied up.
Your boss fed work to you while flirting around with the new pretty good looking intern that you have the hots for, and when you finally have the guts to say hi, the new intern asks you if the regional manager is available. Frustrated, you go to the pantry to get a milkshake. Only to find that the pantry had been empty for the past 3 days, even the cookies you brought had been devoured. Feeling disgruntled, you walk back to your chair and notice a new pile of work placed on your desk by your colleague with a note saying she has to go out early. Most probably out dating with the ex that dumped you 2 weeks ago. You carry your work out to the car thinking you could go home and finish it, then you notice you forgot to turn off the lights when u came in in a rush this morning. So your work's piled up, love life's screwed, boss is flirty and flighty with work, car's dead and you're left wondering what to do.

Well maybe not all of us actually have a work life that's that frantic, and yet there are times where we would just loooooove to pamper ourselves. One awesome way to unwind after a ballistic day like that is to call up the gang/girls(whichever your gender) and go have some good food! :)

Now that brings us to the place that would be on our introduction list today, Strawberry Fields Cafe :)

"Avete sentito parlare di pizza a cono?" - Quoted from Google translation (English to Italian)
(WARNING: picture heavy post )

Have you ever heard of a CONE Pizza? The line above clearly states with effect, how much the shape of the pizza had struck me silly when visiting this latest food joint.

So after an interestingly refreshing sunday morning in port dickson, I started my drive back towards KL.and started getting hungry some where around the Seremban Rest & Relax stop. Me and a couple of friends had agreed to go for lunch at the the Rest house.
On our way into the rest house, we expected to see a fast food restaurant franchise. Something along the lines of KFC or Mcdonalds.

Well it is with a heavy heart that i cannot update you guys with good reviews recently.. i've been out of whack..
And now to add Icing to the screwed up cake, my class trip is in Port Dickson..
Not that the trip is not interesting, nor that i do not want to go. However, the choice in which i have to make which is to forgo my Weekly Tournament, my MDEC .Net programming course which is worth 2000 RM, my time with my family, my FYP, just to go down to see an organizer who screams at me and belittles me?
I wonder upon whether the 'A' grade is worth getting and if i don't get the grade what am i to think of myself after..
Not to mention i do not have the address or a red carpet to welcome me down there..
There i've ranted enough about the matter. time to get it over with..
See you all when i get back...

KAJANG, SELANGOR - In recent news, the owner of this blog has dealt himself a deadly blow with his love life and completely messed up his sense of being. It has resulted in the confirmation of research papers started by psychologists on the possibility of a person's mental state to determine his 5 senses.
The owner of the blog has noticed that his tastebuds seem to haven been severely numbed in the wake of having broken up with his girlfriend.
Also, he tends to hear voices even when there's noone talking and is largely irritated by the most mundane of sounds. Visual impairment also seems to be one of the problems that the blog owner is facing, as he seems to have momentarily missed the chair he was supposed to sit on by a few inches. Earning him the nickname 'slippery ass'.
Certain sources have claimed that there is a possibility that this series of unfortunate events is stemmed from the new year.
Stating in the same claim that this effect has not only affected the blog owner, but also others around him. This global phenomenon has yet to be proven as scientists work around the clock, overcoming minor scientific maladies to attempt to arrive at a plausible conclusion.

New plans for a new year :)

I have a long term project that i would like to involve highly productive and self inspiring individuals who are willing to help out..

I would like to beg for forgiveness of the readers in this delayed posting of the Stadt review. Apparently while my G900 Sony Ericsson phone allowed me to blog while i was there, my glee was awfully short lived because the internet access died and my phone's camera function with it.
This angered me slightly, however, just like the span of my happiness, the span of my fury was equally short lived, as the food arrived soon after the internet access died.
And to say it arrived is an awful understatement, as the food MADE its own announcement upon arrival. The impeccable aroma of Honey Glazed Pork Knuckle, still makes my mouth water until now.

Before and after, Honey Glazed pork knuckle :P
Its succulent and juicy flesh, mixes well with the honey glazed skin, and the accompanying bacon strips serve to further illuminate the flavor of the pork. A very well done dish, and i was really impressed by the star of the STADT menu :)

So in my quest to find better places to dine for melc's sake, I found myself blogging live from Stadt, a German restaurant i was recommended to try. Oh er... excuse me the food's arrived. brb

Gah what happens when you get a stream of sleepless nights? Really, i don't know.
So if any readers out there have ideas on how to cure sleepless nights, please do recommend me some :)
Anyway due to me being unable to sleep properly, I've decided to blog about the latest food joint that i've visited :)

So i had me a wonderfully eventful life up till now...
and i expect it to be as industrious and eventful as ever for a long time to come :)

Feeling awkward about the entirety of it, I spent a few hours thinking what to do for the people that make my life so special that i would celebrate it...
So, i decided to try out something. Something i know i'd love to eat :P
I took out the recipe for the baked potatoes, thinking that i'd mash the insides to make potato mash and fry some fish for a Fish & Mash.

So the adventure continues in Pt. 2 :)

After the awesome dinner i had the previous evening, my outspoken friend brought me out again the day after to meet up with her friends :)
I must say that they are an interesting bunch of really jolly people and that their company was delightful and was an experience to treasure :)
Unfortunately, my poor memory has served to beget me once again by having me forget the name of the restaurant. I will henceforth find a way to get the name correct.
This was what i had for dinner that day.

Few days after having my site layout changed, I had an interesting evening with a very close friend.
And as such, we decided to have an equally interesting meal :)
We headed down to the nearest shopping mall at that moment(IOI mall) and after some indecision, chose to dine at Sakae Sushi.

I haven't had an opportunity to taste Sakae stuffz, so i accepted the opportunity with open arms and gladly stalked into the Sakae Sushi restaurant.

Honestly, i never looked back.
